My project is about the zoo, which has set up enough solar panels to power one-fifth of the zoo`s needs. It has created this project, not only to help the environment by reducing the amount of coal burned in factories, but to save money. Over the time-span of 78.5 years, the solar panels will begin to pay for themselves, even though they cost so much before. Besides saving electricity needs for the zoo, this project is also helpful to the environment because it encourages other large energy consumers to convert to the use of solar energy. As an added benefit, cars are also able to park under the solar panels, which make an awning over the zoo`s parking lot.
